WE ALL WANT MORE.

Sometimes it’s the small things (like more Marvel movies, more coffee and more weekend adventures. No? Just me?) Other times it’s the important things (like more passion, more purpose and more freedom).

But something I’ve learned along the way is that “more” looks different for each of us. And it wasn’t until I was four years deep into my dream career at the time that my version of more really became clear to me.

While earning my degree, I interned and worked in a variety of office environments within the fashion industry. Once I graduated, I nine-to-five’d it in the photography and graphic design department of an online retailer.

There I was: Immersed in fashion-focused imagery and frantically churning out quick, trendy content on repeat on the daily.

I should have been satisfied … but I wasn’t.

I’d found the right style, but not the right fit.

I knew that I was on the right path with commercial photography and design. But the execution didn’t feel elegant to me. It was too rushed and too reactive.

I wanted something more. I wanted to slow down and create stylish content with more substance. I also wanted more flexibility – both in how I worked and where I worked.

So, I decided not to settle for less. I packed my camera into my tote, said farewell to my origin story, and embarked on a collection of creative explorations.

My first years of freelancing set the foundation for more, opening the door to creative spaces and experiences I hadn’t yet entered. I gained a wealth of experience in shooting; headshots, events, interiors, products, modelling and acting portfolios, and various fashion content as well as experimenting with video projects.

By the time I launched Saturao Studio, I’d been rewarded with the rich diversity of clients and projects required to fashion my skills toward what I cared about most: Shooting, editing and designing dreamy content that truly tells a tale.

Because every brand – and collection – has a story.
